Eco house design

Each of you needs to research the concept of eco-house design, be able to explain the fundamentals [on your blog and in person], and create your own design for your Matai Islands home.
Experts might actually build a model for extra credit.

You could do it at home, and do it as homework, or something.
P.S. It would be easier if you put your study or workshop underground or in the cellar.

Can we design from a birds eye view on paper or do we have to do a 3-d model.

There are a whole lot of thing we could build into these homes like a stone floor which traps the heat from the sun in the daytime and realeses the heat in the night which would save the need for
air-con

You may create your design anyway you like, including accurate technical drawings, Google Sketchup, 3D models, etc.
Enjoy! :-)

To save the amount of water use collect rain water in a tank for gardening and household use. If you think this is stupid you may put a filter on it.

Hello GO to my sustainability blog to see my Eco house post.
I agree with sprint gas racing storing water is a good idea as people who live in the country have to use this method.
