Traits of a quality learner

Mysteryman thinks I'm about to talk about how amazing he is [check out his sports writing blog] but I'm not. I'm here to add resources for you to refer to in ICT time when you will be creating your presentations on the traits of a quality learner...

Remember what we have covered in class:

The Habits of Mind Persistence !!!

Multiple Intelligences

The NZ Curriculum Key Competencies

and maybe Bloom's Taxonomy and Tony Ryan's Thinkers Keys could be interesting.

Try to incorporate details from these in your presentation in your own words. Also provide references of where you got your information.

The most innovative presentations with the most detailed explanations of what it takes to be a quality learner will be the winners!
:-)

Ha Ha funny one. I think our Qulity learner powerpoint is great thanks Other Boy. What I don't understand is that there are different kinds of learners bhut we are all different.

Taxonomy is well has it got something to do with solo taxonomy about thinking(all the different stages, analysing and each time the picture gets more complecated showing that the steps get harder and harder)!!!!!!!!!

hello. For our Traits of a successful learner my group is doing a very kool brochure on it. it is looking really kool at the moment haha. but i think this project is very useful and fun at the same time.

Hi there,

For our one we are going to do a brochure and put out a survey and see what the classes opinion is, then we will put the data into a graph and put it on the back page of our brochure. On the first page we are going to put the title, then the second page will be the NZ curriculum of the traits of a successful learner.

I think ours is going to be very successful, I guess in more ways than one I have become the leader of our group. It will be good to see what others come up with.

BUT... DON'T COPY OUR IDEA!!!

Thanks

I find it very hard to understand what some of you are saying.

PLEASE USE GRAMMAR, PUNCTUATION, AND CORRECT SPELLING.

Well done to those who did that (hmm... I sound like Mr Jones...).
To the others, buck up your ideas, and read through your posts before you publish!

Please take note of what I have said- for my wisdom is shared few times...

Mr. Woody, which class is funner? Room5ians, or Woodmonstas >;-(?
Please give me a straight answer.

mech boy said...

Pardon my mistake.

Using capital letters does not make your statement any bit more valid than it already is. It seems nobody else has problems trying to understand what we are communicating with each other, so i suggest you ask Mr.Jones to give you a lesson on reading. It may look like some people are bad writers judged on what they have wrote on the internet, but perhaps they are just bad with the keyboard.

p.s. Visit my blog :)

Cool! your stuff is pretty complicated to me!

But, this is supposed to be a formal blog. Last year Mr Woody said that if we didn't write properly than we weren't to post anything. So-unless he's gone even more slack than he was last year- you should all be writing formally for most of your blog posts.
You can read other peoples comments which don't use grammar and punctuation because you are used to them doing it!
On another post I will not use any grammar, punctuation, or even try to fix spelling errors!

P.S. Winged hussar? Don't play those foolish games with me...

MrWoody said...

Mechboy, your comments are partially useful and your point is correct - we do need to write correctly in this forum. However, you are being very rude and disrespectful, so watch it...

mech boy said...

But his statement was partially rude too!
My statement wasn't completely unprovoked (I still shouldn't have been so rude though).

MrWoody said...

Thanks Mechboy - I'd hate you to turn against me :-)
